Pats76 GTG - Subir Saha and me at Taj Vivanta Hotel, Kolkata on 2026-01-01

The first day of the new year, viz. 2026-01-01 evening, was well spent with Subir Saha, a very dear Pats76 batchmate of St.Patrick's School Asansol - cum - an Indian Roadie.  

Subir is the owner of 50+ years old top selling IOCL Retail Outlet, Veteran Service Station (VSS), Asansol. VSS is also an Indian Roadie Preferred Fllling Station. 

Subir was visiting Kolkata with his wife to bid good-bye to 2025 and usher in 2026 🎉🎊👍. 

The 3 hours long chitchat over coffee and cookies in his room in Hotel Taj Vivanta, Ruby Hospital Crossing in Kolkata was a memorable start to 2026.

Pats76 GTG with Sujoy Guha at Ballygunge Place - Bondel Road crossing on 2018-05-10

My school buddy Sujoy Guha from Bangalore was in Kolkata for a full week. We could manage to meet up for a 90 mins  'adda' with samosa + thanda matlab Coca-Cola + extra sweet lassi at Ballygunge Place - Bondel Road crossing on Thursday, 2018-05-10. 

It was an evening of absolute unadulterated fun.

Pats76 GTG with family @Subhabrata Sikdar's place in Madhyamgram on 2017-01-24

It was wonderful meeting Subhabrata Sikdar, St. Patrick's School, Asansol batchmate after 40 yrs on 2017-01-24 at his apartment in 'Apanalay' complex on NH34, Doltala. 

My wife Diya and daughter Diksha were equally happy to meet them.

Pats76 GTG - Lunch meet at Haka, City Centre 1, Salt Lake with Sujoy Guha on 2021-03-13

It was a leisurely buffet lunch meet at Haka, City Centre 1, Salt Lake on Saturday, 2021-03-13 afternoon with my school/ class/ section Pats76 buddy from St. Patrick's School Asansol, Sujoy Guha (permanently settled in Bangalore, but visiting Kolkata solo for 2 nights to meet his mom recuperating in Apollo Gleneagles Hospital). 

The last meeting was incidentally exactly around the same time in March 2020 when he had driven Bangalore to Kolkata with wifey, Jhuma Guha. 
So much has happened in the past topsy-turvy 365 days with Covid-19 and worse ☹️  
Surprises me that in all these 365 days, I haven't met any other school/ class buddies.
